For advanced yoga practitioners only. Get close and personal with Rodney Yee and gain insight and immersion into how he practices yoga at home. In this rare window on the private practice of America's favorite yoga instructor, witness incredible footage of Rodney performing an advanced sequence based on his own personal yoga routines. 2 DVDs - complete with Rodney's voice instruction to guide your own yoga practice. 3 full-length advanced practices will help you realize new levels of power, intuition, ease and reward in your yoga and your life. Learn how to build up to and sequence intense arm balances, and trust yourself more in these challenging poses. Follow Rodney through a full sequence of hip openers to prepare the body for advanced moves and evolve your practice on a deeper level as Rodney guides yogi Colleen Saidman in advanced pranayama practice. 125 minutes.

Advanced Yoga Disc 1 Includes:
  • Total-body, arm-balance workout: Engages and strengthens your triceps, entire upper body, core and legs. It demystifies these intense poses showing you how to sequence and build up to them and helps you cultivate a "steadiness of mind" with whatever is happening in the moment. 45 minutes.
  • Complete hip opening routine: Increases flexibility and mobility in the most neglected part of the body and helps prevent knee and join problems. 30 minutes.
Advanced Yoga Disc 2 Includes:
  • Advanced pranayama, or breath absorption practice: Improves lung capacity and circulation of rejuvenating oxygen-rich blood. Deepens your connection within, like no other practice can. 30 minutes.

WARNING: Beginner or novice practitioners should not attempt these asanas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by This will open you up to more yoga poses. Advanced Yoga with Rodney Yee  is designed for experienced practitioners, yet even an intermediate practitioner can do much of the program. I would advise taking ones time and working up to the headstands, handstands and more advanced poses. There are still many more poses that one can do. There's also a section for opening up the hips and an advanced pranayama practice, which focuses on breathing.  Even if you can't do the more advanced poses yet, you will get a glimpse of some of the more advanced yoga poses that are possible in ones practice once one has reached that level. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent video The hip-opener portion of this set is my absolutely favorite yoga DVD. I've lent it to friends that have loved it, as well. I practice Ashtanga and the advanced workout is a great one to keep up at home, in between classes. Haven't done the breath work portion yet. March 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Definitly Advanced I do enjoy this dvd. He gradually goes in to poses to work you in to the very advanced poses. I am more of an intermediate-advanced person, but it seems there is a gap videos with lots of beginners, a handful of intermediate and this for advanced. I will definitly be working on these poses for a while. The hip opening video on here is really great and effective. November 12, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT Video!!! I bought this video needing a challenge in my yoga workout....this was perfect!!! It is a great step up for someone ready to move to the next stage from intermediate to advanced! I will buy this video as gifts for my fellow yoga students!!! November 16, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice challenge Very good challenge after doing all of his basic dvds. Though I own 5 of his other dvds, and none of them were a good intermediate bridge to this one. Very big jump from his other dvds but I really enjoy it. March 3, 2014

Could anyone please help me understand why I feel so dizzy and want to throw up when I practice Prayanama. I could only do it for 15 minutes or less.

Answer:
You shouldn't feel dizzy or ill while practicing Pranayama. If you feel dizzy or ill when practicing Pranayama, consult your doctor. Because you are restricting the way you are breathing it might just be that you aren't taking full enough breaths on your inhalations, but it can also be an indicator that something else is off balance.

I am looking to progress naturally from the intermediate DVD to the advanced DVD. I just started the Intermediate DVD, but I would like to know that I can move to the advanced DVD after mastering this one (several months or more) without too much trouble.
