Hip-Opening Routine (30 minutes): Increases flexbility and mobility in the most neglected part of the body to help prevent knee and joint problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Must Have for Advanced Intermediates/ Serious Yogi I first got this DVD from NetFlix and keep it at home for several months to use over and over- so I finally decided to just buy the darn thing! I have been a fan of Rodney Yee's instuctional DVD's for about 8 years or so. If you know him, you will love his too. If you don't know, he is a great clear instructor, nice voice, and offers suggestions about how to adjust your pose for proper alignment. Hip opening sequence is wonderful as is the head and hand stand sequence. You can chose your own adventure/practice time, by segment or go straight thru the whole DVD. My heart rate went up with the DVD and I did sweat. The pranayama segment is such a great addition. The music was relaxing and didn't get in the way of my practice. As a WAHM, this DVD is a lifeboat for my home practice. December 28, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Challenging Definitely not for the beginner. I got this about 1 year after starting yoga practice, and it still is challenging, but at the level I am at now. If you do want to get it as a beginner, you can do the breathing DVD and probably most of the hip opening DVD, but not much of the workout. It really works the upper body. December 12, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by hip sequence is awesome I've used this dvd a ton. I like the hip sequence the best. It is very relaxing and loosens everything up. Some of the arm balances are a little tough for me...but I enjoy the challenge. I don't use the pranayama practice at all. November 19, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great advanced practice If you're looking for a dvd that can give you a more advanced workout, this is it. Love it! November 16, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by great for advanced poses & pranayama I didn't realize the pranayama was just breathing, therefore excellent for meditation. The inverted poses are very difficult for me and are an asset to my practice. The hip opener routine is perfect for my shortened evening practice. November 10, 2009
