Rated 2.9 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for thin mat and resistance band Have had one for years and it gets constant use on my mat and as resistance band.  Getting another one because  the old one is starting to fray at the  end of each loop. January 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect great for streching also and used for my mat to carry April 23, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good for thick mats I purchased this strap as my new manduka mat was too thick for any yoga bag I had. THis strap works well to keep the mat together and is a good all around strap for stretching. November 16, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 Not supportive enough The strap was hard to get around my thick mat and a few times the mat flipped out of it because I couldn't get the strap on securely since the mat was thicker. September 10, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not loving it I thought it was a cool idea...sling for the mat and to hold poses, but there is another one that is better. The stretch was too easy to hold the poses as a strap would and the ring openings were too tight to hold 2 mats which is what I carry all the time to class. Actually I am no longer using this product since I bought different one. Gaiam has another strap with Velcro that works better, at least for me, which serves both purposes. August 24, 2011

Most of the complaints here and on amazon had to do with the strap not fitting over the mat or being too tight if it does.  I am looking for a non-velcro style sling and would really like something like this but am concerned it would cause problems.  I like the design of a sling that has a loop so the strap can be adjusted around the mat to size, anything in the works for that?

Answer:
On a thin  Gaiam mat it is great.  Like it as a resistance band too.  I have had one for over 5 years.  It is much quicker and easier than a Velcro strap.

Answer:
It might be the thickness of the mats being used by those reviewers. I was able to get a 3mm and 5 mm mat in easily however you have to make sure it's tightly rolled or it's not going to fit.

I use a thick mat and a blanket, and need to know the circumference or length of the straps when stretched out.

Thank you.

Answer:
Not sure exactly the diameter, but enough for the thickest manduka mat with a sticky back yoga towel rolled inside which is quite large when rolled up.
