Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Usefull I love this video! I use it weekly and add portions of it to my regular routine. Certain poses and restorative positions target my problem area and I have seen vast improvement in my chronic condition. March 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Body Ball System = Massage Therapy Kit I love this, but it took GAIAM a long time to figure out that the body ball therapy system and massage therapy kit were the same (since I ordered both). Customer Service was excellent. They kept working on it until we figured it out. March 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Back pain begone I am a male of 46 years of age, weighing 240 lb, always on my feet working as a degreed chef in a fast paced restaurant, and playing racquetball, and swimming five to seven days a week. Recently I suffered from bulging disks in the right lower back that led me to many rehabilitative chiropractic sessions. I also hold a B.S. in Kinesiology and have been a certified personal trainer for years. I knew that I will need to incorporate regular back exercises and stretches to reduce or better yet eliminate future lower back pain. After a short search online all I could find was this combination of Yoga for Back care with Rodney Yee and Restore Massage Therapy Set. Each comes with its own DVD. I received the products in a timely manner. I have viewed both DVDs and they are in excellent format and professionally shot and edited. Rodney is very clear in his instructions, and careful in describing and setting the stretches, while the ocean backdrop setting provides a relaxing atmosphere. So far I have only used the Yoga DVD and it yields amazing results while saving me a lot of money if I had to go to a yoga studio paying at least $15 per visit. I would recommend the whole set as a present and future investment. The Restore Massage Therapy Set will be an excellent next level stretching once I am ready for it – for now I am using the foam roller instead for a softer pressure. June 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very happy with this purchase These simple postures have helped my back tremendously and Rodney Yee is a good teacher who carefully explains how to do things correctly. Although as a 65 year old, I haven't been able to do all of the exercises as yet, e.g., my back is too sensitive at this point for the massaging balls; I'm sure I will be able to eventually. Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Helpful for the Back This purchase was for my Mother. I purchased it for her because I was so pleased with it for myself. The self massage your back muscles get from the equipment is fantastic. I complete these moves once per week if not more and it offers a very relaxing experience! May 18, 2012

Hi, I would like to know where to purchase the black sleeve that Rodney Yee uses for the body ball system. It seems like it would take a lot to keep the balls an even distance apart and at the same level. Anyone who knows where to buy this prop - please let me in on the secret!!! Maybe Rodney Yee could answer this?

Answer:
The sleeve was something that was used in the filming without us knowing that it wasn't going to be included in the kit. I have had a number of customers us a tube sock that's lost it's mate, old tights or panty hose, a cloth whine bag, or the sleeve to an old long sleeve shirt. Unfortunately we do not have bags available for purchase.

I have multiple skin sensitivities to a wide variety of synthetic materials & and I can't find out anywhere what exercise balls are made of. I'd love to be able to buy and USE this set.

The one that is sold separately does, but the description for this one doesn't say. Is it the same identical dvd, or are they different productions of similar routines?

Answer:
The DVD for Back Care is the same one that is sold separately. As they told me, mine looks different because it is an updated version. The back care kit is the Back Care DVD + Body Ball System. You can order separately - just the Back Care DVD or just the Massage Therapy Kit (same as the body ball kit). Best deal is to order together.

It should include the 7 minute back care routine. As far as I can see they are shipping the same version for both the kit and the individual DVD orders.

I just received this in the mail and am perplexed as to how to properly use the sleeve for the two smaller balls. It seems quite different from the one Rodney uses in the video, and there aren't any instructions in the video that pertain to correct usage of the sleeve. Thanks for your help! :)

I don't think it is meant to be used like that. They told me to use a sock. I am trying to track down the sleeve Rodney Yee uses. Seems like GAIAM should sell it. If you find the sleeve, please let me know!

Are you referring to the sleeve to place the balls in? They slide right in, but this is just what I thought the sleeve was used for. I did not find any directions included on how to use the props thta came with the kit.

Answer:
The sleeve that is included is indeed different than the one that Rodney is using. They just need to be placed in there together for correct use. I usually recommend to customers to use an old sock, or an old pair of tights or pantyhose as they normally work a little better and are less scratchy.

Do the balls come with a pump? How do you inflate them back up when they deflate?

That was a question I had as well. No the kit doesn't come with a pump. I plan to try to use the pump that came with my exercise ball.

Answer:
The balls do not include a pump. You would use the same sort of pump that you would use on a basket ball or football. If you have a bicycle pump I can get a needle sent out for you that will work with it. Email me at Productspecialist@gaiam.com
