Rated 5 out of 5 by JenMay One of my favorites!
After reading some of the reviews I almost didn't buy this one but I am so very glad I did!! I love it! For the most part you will do the moves with your eyes closed and the instructor is very good about describing the moves as you go so you don't have to open your eyes too often. The meditation at the end is wonderful also! This DVD will push you beyond your limits but that's the point of working out right? ;)
This one is most definitely one of my favorites!

I was not familiar with Kundalini Yoga, but I decided to purchase this DVD to try something new. I think if one keeps an open mind, you can get a lot out of this workout. At times I felt silly flapping my arms about, but once I got through the initial resistance I realized, "Wow, this really is a great cardio workout." I feel absolutely wonderful afterwards. I love the meditation at the end, and I'm definitely adding Kundalini Yoga to my routine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Girasol Starting the day with Soul-Shine
It was once, said that the best excercise program is that one that you will do again, tomorrow.
Gurmukh with her positive encouragement, enjoyable workout and nuturing instruction is that workout that I do again, tomorrow. Gurmukh has been part of my DVD collection for a long time and I do her workout several times a week, because I like to start my day with Gurmukh's "soul-shine, sun-shine"
I highly reccomend this DVD and hope that Gaiam adds more Kundalini titles to their library.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DragonGolu A comprehensive body-mind exercise
Its a must buy-and-try for fitness freaks and mediation freaks alike.
For the fitness, it contains a balanced 2 stages of rigorous awaken and strengthen cycle. Exercises focus on key parts of our body - like the lower back or abdominal muscles which seem to be the base of whole body. Quite surprisingly, doing the first two stages helped me realize my level of stamina. I bike everyday and have an active lifestyle. But still, after almost a month or so, I struggle to make it through the first two stages. The idea is to challenge that limit, get over it, and ride along. This is so true for life too, we face insurmountable problems, build our strength and get over them.
The meditation at last, brings a different touch. I never realized that meditation at the end of vigorous exercise can be so pleasant. I specially like the part where it asks to let go of life. We so injustifiably cling to life that wont last anyways, and in doing so lose focus of what is.
Overall, a great product. Definitely worth that 10-20 bucks we would otherwise spend in some useless activity.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Snicktacular Nothing like your average Yoga Session
Kundalini is by nature a completely different type of yoga, as I learned. Similar to Vinyasa, much focus is placed on breath, bit Kundalini incorporates a lot of arm and fully body movement, similar to dancing or Tai Chi or Dahn yoga. It seemed kind of silly at first, but the result was a refreshed and invigorating feeling. Not the relaxing chakra-focused spiritual meditative session I expected, but a very informative and beneficial workout. It's a great introduction.
