Rated 4 out of 5 by Grippy Yoga gloves This item does what it is advertised to do, keep you from slipping on your mat. My hands sweat when I exercise so this item works great for me. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is - my hands/fingers are slender so even though the gloves themselves don't move on the mat, my hands shift within the gloves allowing the gloves to wedge between my fingers which isn't very comfortable and can be distracting when trying to hold a pose. Rated 5 out of 5 by Grippiness Helpful for RA Sufferer I have a condition called Rheumatoid Arthritis which greatly diminishes my strength. I find these gloves with their grippy feature to be very helpful in opening doors, picking items up and of course with gripping my fit ball and pilates mat during exercise sessions. I plan to get the grippy socks as well. April 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Helpful These gloves solved a problem I was having doing yoga class, when I would sweat I would slip while trying to do down dog and other poses. With the gloves no slipping and they are comfortable too. Highly recommend January 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! These are fantastic and a great compliment to the Yoga Travel Mat. Easy to use, and you can take anywhere. They are grippy and after a few months of use and wash, they remain intact and great. Love them!! December 27, 2011

Answer:
Some people like to have more than one pair (like a pair to keep in the car for class and one for the house) so we offer them in a set that has two pair for a discount. If you by just the gloves it does contain a right and left glove.
