Rated 4 out of 5 by PlanetBarbara Excellent Filter, but Install is tough for amateur
Excellent filter, but a bear to install. My recommendation is to toss out the plastic valve that is included in the kit, and go to a DIY store and purchase a Watts Adapt-A-Valve LFPBAV-644 and aWatts Brass Insert and Delrin Sleeve A-8 1/4" OD w/ insert (or equivalent brand), and some thin white plumber's tape for wrapping. Also recommend bringing the parts and take a photo under your counter and bring them to the store -- Home Depot and Lowe's will be happy to help, and it is easier for them if you have pictures, at least for amateurs (trust me on this one). Once installed, it works great.

I should have bought this years ago. we had an existing "soap pump" in our sink that we got rid of and put the lovely spigot through. Not hard to install. It's SOOO much better than using a countertop filter in our tiny little house, and no fidgety thing on the faucet itself. Love it.

I'm a decent "barnyard" plumber. That was a good thing when I discovered that the filter as shipped did NOT include "supplies necessary to turn your sink sprayer into a faucet for filtered water."
In fact, the terrible (hard to read, unclear) instructions were for a tap w/o a sprayer, as were the adapters. A trip to Home Depot to buy adapters made things right, and in an hour I had water that tasted good. I can only imagine what someone would do if they lacked tools and expertise. Plan to call a real plumber, not me.
When connected to the faucet sprayer, this model does not cut off all water from the tap. If it did, it would have gotten 5 stars. As it, we like it enough to not return it. The filter removes the tap-water taste and that was what we were after.
