This is my 3rd summer using the umbrella clothes dryer and it is holding up just fine. I wanted something that was not a permanent installation because we do not own our house. If you have hard clay soil as we do, then driving the holder into the ground is a big challenge, but once it is done, it's done. The dryer holds a TON of clothes. It folds down easily for mowing and it is easy to remove from the holder and bring inside for the winter.
I just wish it had an indoor stand. Brabant used to make one but it was never sold here and now it looks like they have stopped making it altogether. We have an indoor clothesline for the winter but it doesn't hold nearly as many clothes and it annoys my husband.

This umbrella dryer is a high quality product, made to efficiently serve its purpose and endure over time. It was easy to install. As a shorter person, 5'2", it is a challenge to hang things on the outter lines, but the inner lines hold so much, I do not always have to use the higher ones. I enjoy being outside, mindlessly hanging clothes, knowing I am saving energy costs while having the benefit of fresh-smelling, crisp, clean, sun & wind-dried items.

I bought this laundry line a couple of months ago, and now I'm in love! It's the perfect height (I'm 5'6'') and it is so easy to open up or close and store away. It's made of a sturdy build, which is exactly what I spent hours scouring for online (it's very difficult to compare these online, without actually seeing the products). The lines are spaced far enough apart to let laundry dry completely, and wide enough to hang bath towels and sheets easily. I have a very ancient washing machine, so I can't tell you how many loads the dryer can hold at a time, but I have hung sheets from 3 beds (doubles and queen) as well as several loads of regular washing. The base was hard to sink until I used a mallet to pound it all the way to ground level. It's very deep, so the pole is very stable and sturdy. I picked up some little multi-clip hangers from Ikea, for socks and undies, as well as durable plastic clothespins. This makes my laundering a dream! I highly recommend this umbrella clothes dryer.

I basically save 6 months of energy that I would use to dry my clothes with the dryer... that is worth the extra time of 'contemplation' that it takes to hang up and take down the clothes... I rather have sun and wind dried clothes than clothes dried using up precious energy...

This is wonderful product. I live in Arizona where we often have triple digit temps. This product would save me money while helping our enviorment.
