Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 55 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for beginners This was my first yoga mat, and I used it for nearly five years.  It is very durable, and held up through living in two drastically different climates, and getting dragged to the park for some outdoor yoga (I used a blanket underneath).  It finally stretched out too much, and I had to get a new mat, but I was definitely sold on Gaiam as a product and bought my new mat from them too.  This mat did smell strongly of rubber when I first got it, but it went away in about a week.  I imagine a lot of the smell was from living on a shelf at Target. Rated 5 out of 5 by Pretty, comfortable, eco-friendly mat There isn't much to dislike about a yoga mat, but in addition to being functional, this one is eco-friendly and cheerful looking without being blindingly bright. And since tree pose is my favorite asana, this mat is pretty much perfect for me! August 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Mat I got this mat as a Christmas gift from my mom a year or two ago. I love it. I love rolling out the tree and standing at the base. It helps ground me. I do agree with some that it is a little on the thin side, but depending on the yoga type and instructor that I have it works perfectly. For some of my more intense hot yoga, I do HAVE to put a towel down or else I'll slide all over the place! January 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Peaceful I got this mat a while ago, and really look forward to my Yoga and Pilates time when I pull it out. The tree helps aid my visualization during my workouts. January 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Mat When I started yoga I was using a mat that was designed for other types of exercise. It was too thick and didn't hold up well. This mat, in contrast is just the right thickness. It is thick enough to cushion on hard floors, but not so thick as to make balancing asanas unstable. Durability also seems quite good. I typed in latex free mats and this one popped up, and I was wondering if this one is in fact latex free. I'm SEVERELY allergic, so any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! :)

Answer:
not sure what target has. I bought some from 2 other large retail chains for "bargain" prices. They do the job. For me, it's like riding an old car without ac or a new hybrid with ac and comforts

Answer:
I have a mat not from Target, but Walmart (I think they sell the same ones though). I thought there wouldn't be a difference, but my hands and feet slid in almost every position I tried to do. The Tree of Life Yoga Mat from gaiam.com was perfect for me. No more sliding and slipping.

There is no difference. Target carries our products. Occasionally Target will occasionally have designs that are exclusive to them.

The picture seems to show beige? I purchased the same one from Target by Gaiam and it does not look like this picture shown above. In fact, you can barely make out the picture of the tree due to the color of the picture resembling the color of the mat so closely. I wanted to know if the color is different when purchased from the website, if this is the case I will purchase from Gaiam.com.

Answer:
The mat sold at Target is different than the one from the Gaiam website. The Gaiam one is more true to the colors you see on the web. The Target mat is brighter and the tree is difficult to distinguish.
