As far as I can determine from the content description, this is the same DVD that Gaiam sold with a different picture on the cover. The cover I have shows a woman in athletic shoes, white shorts and lavender top with hands on her hips, doing a forward-step with right leg forward, left leg back, lunge. It annoys me that Gaiam repackages their "old" DVDs without indicating that anywhere in the material. I have in the past unknowingly purchased duplicate material because of that. This particular "knee" DVD is, I think, identical to that previous one and if so, I like it! It has been a clear, safe, smart program for knee health and even one with "bad" knees can do it and will likely find improvement through doing it routinely. Nice program by Chantal Donnelly (the one I have), very well done, effective. Recommend it!

The exercises in this video work, but the production is poor and the video does not flow well. Setting up your own routine is cumbersome. Chantel comes off as though she needs some "in front of camera" lessons (or maybe a better writer). I find her slightly irritating. (hehe ha ha great job guys) However I have used these excercises and have felt the benefits, I have memorized them and get done with the routine in half the time it takes the video to get me through it. So I say buy the video, learn the exercises and stretches and then give it to a friend. If you do this routine 3 times a week like you should, you won't need the video after a couple weeks.

I like to take Gaiam DVD's with me when I travel for business. Usually that requires that I watch them on my laptop. With this video that is impossible. The girls in the video are wearing dark green pants and dark brown tops against a backdrop of a dark mat and a very dark room. This may sound like a simple annoyance, but unless your looking straight at the screen on a certain angle all you get are shadows. All you can see are feet, faces and hands. I had the same result when I tried to watch it at home. You're trying to do the exercises which requires you to be lying on the floor, holding onto a chair or leaning against a wall. So you can never be directly in front of the screen! Also the wall exercises require that you slide your back up and down a wall. Easy enough if you have the slick varnished wood support beams in the video. If you have paint or wallpaper or the slightest bit of perspiration good luck. I guess the solution would be a balance ball, but then why not just buy a balance ball video? Most of these exercises can be found in any Pilates video. I won't "not" recommend it only because she does some good explanation of the muscle groups and overall the exercises would seem to be beneficial and I only paid $15. But I was by no means blown away or that impressed. I would highly recommend if you or going to make a video like this you take into consideration that the person really needs to see how the exercises are performed and what muscle groups are being incorporated!

I bought this video to use with a friend of mine on our "off" days of Pilates. We really love it, we both have some issues with our knees. The exercises in the video work to strengthen the muscles around the knees, so you are getting a great workout that you can really feel, without hurting your knees. I haven't done the exercises enough to notice a difference with my knee strength, but I know I will when I start doing them more. I did notice my leg muscles feeling VERY worked both times I watched it. It seriously targets the hamstrings & quads. I also really like Chantal, she is very down to earth and easy to watch. She also does a good job of demonstrating the different muscles & how they affect the knees. I would definitely buy another one of her videos.

I like this video very much, I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but I already feel the muscles affecting my knees getting stronger and more flexible. I think that the instructions are clear and the demonstrations are correct and precise.
While I appreciate the idea that the reasons for working each of the targeted muscle groups are explained before each exercise, I would like it if all of the explanations were done at the beginning of the video so that once the exercising begins, we could get through it non-stop.
I do like it though, and will continue to use it.
