Rated 5 out of 5 by Great mop I purchased mine will over 6 years ago. I love it, and I am still using the original cloths that came with it. The only thing I can suggest to the manufacture is this, the head needs better grips both on top and Velcro strips for grips on the flat part of the head. Would hold the cloths in place much better. In fact, since I am going to buy a new one, the old one will be for the basement, I intend on putting Velcro strips on the bottom before I ever start using it, and hope they stay in place. Fantastic product all the way around. April 17, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Purchase Ever I have been searching everywhere for a light weight mop that is eco friendly and can use my own homemade solution if desired. I found it and am so happy with this product. It's a must have for any home. June 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pays for itself. We purchased this to replace the well known, name brand spray mop that we were using. The purchase of this spray mop from Gaiam may seem expensive at first, but it eventually pays for itself. Rather than having to purchase refills of the name brand's cleaner solution (which gets quite expensive#, we can now use our preferred non-toxic solution of vinegar and water #very inexpensive). The Microtech cloths are washable, so you don't have to buy the disposable refills that the name brand mop requires. Also, it's convenient and easy to use. In the end, the mop pays for itself. I've tried turning the little knob different ways at the bottom of the handle, but it doesn't seem to fit into the mop head.

Answer:
It should just snap right in. If you have tried it every which way and it won't go in it's likely there is a defect in that unit. If you contact customer relations at (877) 989-6321 they can assist you with a replacement.

One of the reviews stated the handle was a little short for them. Could you please tell me how long the handle is, and also the strength - store bought ones break at the connections quickly.

The entire mop is 47"L. Its going to be very strong as the handle is all one piece.

Also, the pad detached from the pole and I can't figure out how to reconnect.

Answer:
I fill the reservoir with water by holding the mop directly under my kitchen faucet, and with cleaning solution by pouring it directly in while the mop is upright.

The pad is very flexible, moving almost 360 deg, so I haven't had trouble with it coming off.

If the pad broke off, perhaps it would be best to contact Gaiam and get their input. Maybe they'll send you a replacement unit.

I just pulled the container straight up and it came off...if the container is full of liquid it might leak a little bit when you this. I'm not sure about the pad. Good luck!

Answer:
That depends on the type of pads you have. The pads for the Clorox mop will work, Swifter pads will not.

This spray mop is the same size as most consumer version currently on the market and thus the pads should accommodate your mop.

I am a college student living in an apartment with a few linoleum floors. I do not have a mop and I do not like the string or sponge mops because they do not last very long before you have to replace them and I find dealing with buckets where I'm at to be a hassle. I like how the Swiffer WetJet can easily pivot around corners and edges, but I do not like how they make you pay for refills and I think this would be a cheaper solution in the long run.

Answer:
This mop is so easy to use. You do not need a bucket. You use this spray mop just like the Swifter one, except that you don't throw away the cleaning cloth and you refill the mop with your own solution. Mopping my floor takes only a couple of minutes, then I rinse the cloth and let it dry to use again the next day. When I do laundry, I throw in the cloth. You'll love this mop!

Answer:
This mop is excellent at pivoting around corners and into tight spots. I use it in my motorhome under built-in furniture and in niches between the walls and the slideouts, and it performs very well. I scrub at dirty spots by applying downward pressure on the handle and the textured cloths clean any gunk at any angle. No replacing refills or using buckets! I drop my cloths into the washer to clean, and one cloth lasts me at least 7-10 uses before I wash it.
