Rated 5 out of 5 by Truly an outstanding product The shoji lanterns operate well, they look beautiful, and they give significant light (unlike many other solar lights). Since they're portable, you can charge them in a very sunny place, then move them at night to a tree branch normally in deep shade during the day. Or, into your tent. The atmosphere they lend to a camp site is magical. We not only recommend them, we give them as gifts! July 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great balls of light! The lights are everything and more than I had hoped for. The soft orange glow lasts for at least 8 hours when put in the sun all day. They are on when I go to bed and are still on when I get up at dawn. The globe fabric seems durable. I use them as night lights in the family room. Good purchase. June 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solar Shoji Laterns Last summer I used paper laterns because the cost was low. This summer I invested in the Solar Shoji Laterns, and the investment is well worth it! The laterns have survived thunderstorms and high winds, and yet, night after night, they glow brightly. I'm ordering more! June 14, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not enough light While the lantern material is good, and the idea of a solar lantern is cool, the lamp doesn't stand up straight on the table, and the LED light just puts off a low glow at night. No where near enough light and the price is high. June 1, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Problematic Because the charging element is on the bottom of the lantern, its not charging during the day when it is handing outside. The only way I have charged it is putting it on a outside table, upside down so it can charge. Even when charged, the light only lasts about 3 hours. Beautiful idea, nice cover material but poor per formance for this expensive item. November 4, 2011
