Rated 5 out of 5 by Visitors Love These!! I am a hypercritical user of a wide range of technology products but I can attest that these lanterns really do perform! We live in Colorado and they have survived the winter snows well. They stay lit for 4+ hours most nights. The glow is a beautiful orange - more like a harvest moon actually. Guests always comment on how nice they look in our yard. April 11, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by DO NOT BUY THESE -- THEY DON'T FUNCTION These are ornamental, at best. They don't charge, the miniscule bulb has lit for a whopping 12 minutes since we hung them 9 days ago in our backyard, which is bursting with California sunshine. Oh, and I've tried reaching customer service twice now and have not gotten anywhere -- either the line was busy or I left a message and heard back from no one. This item should be pulled off the website. November 20, 2009
Rated 3 out of 5 by Might recommend, depends on friend I love the lantern, the construction and the quality of the material. I'd give it 5 stars, but the placement of the solar panel makes charging it quite difficult. I first hung it from a low branch of a plant on my porch. The FLAT top of the lamp got full sun all day. Stayed lit like a champ in the evening. Looks like a full moon! However, hanging it from just about anywhere that impedes direct sunlight hitting the flat top affects the charge and in turn the amount and time you get light. It would be GREAT if one could pivot the collector, so it gets more direct sunlight. I'd even prefer if the collector was on the side, even though it would look bad. We have a TON of sun here, so if it doesn't work well here, where will it work?? Can;t hang from eave, as this shades, so your only option seems to be hang it from a not too leafy, low lying plant or tree. June 2, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love It! i love these lights, had friends over the first night they were up and we could not stop oohhing and aahhing! am buying 2 more to make a total of five, one for each tree in my backyard. March 22, 2009
Rated 3 out of 5 by Beautiful lights... when they stay light I recently bought a set for my backyard. They're a beautiful addition however they do not hold a charge for very long. My hope was they would charge enough during the day and last well into the night. My experience thus far has been they remain lit for roughly 2hrs after sunset before fading. February 4, 2009
