Rated 3 out of 5 by Average Mat My grandparents gave this mat to me for Christmas, and I was super excited to see that it was Sticky Grip. Unfortunately, it is not as non-slip as I would have liked. As soon as I do a few down dogs or my hands get a bit sweaty, I slide. I'm disappointed, but if you don't sweat at all or very little, this mat is good. It has great cushioning and a beautiful pattern, but is just too slippery to be stable in downdog for very long.  March 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by This mat is very slippery and unuseable I was very excited to receive this mat as a Christmas gift and it seemed very suitable from the description and information on the label. However, it has be very disappointing. Neither side of the mat is "sticky" or slip resistant as the label claims, in fact it’s quite slippery to the point that I can't do even a downward dog because my hands slip. I've tried the mat several times on different surfaces and I have the same disappointing results every time. I like all the other characteristics of the mat, such as its thickness and firmness. However, I can't use this mat to do yoga so I do not recommend it. I'm even wondering if it has a manufacturing defect since its advertised characteristics are far from being true. January 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bummed. Not sticky at all I was really excited to get this mat as a gift, as my old mat had become extremely worn.  I had bought my old mat on the cheap somewhere, and used it for a long long time and never had an issue.  I assumed that a new mat with a yoga brand would be ideal, but this is not the case at all.  My main issue is that the mat is not sticky almost at all, and it is difficult to even hold a downward dog.  I though I might have been using the wrong side (as it says there is more stick on one side), but that is not the case; both sides are quite slippery.   Quite disappointed with this mat, and would not recommend it.    January 11, 2014

As long as the essential oils are mixed in with your mat wash there should be no problem. If you are using 1 cup of mat wash, we recommend using no more than 10 drops of essential oils. Shake your wash before spraying and this will prevent too much oil from being dispersed at once.
