My husband and I are very athletic and use several rolling devices (foam roller, Yamuna balls, pinky balls) and we love the "peanut ball"!!! I lead classes to manifest the flow state and other extraordinary capacities for improved athletic performance and overall health and wellness (Sustainable Whole Body Training). I have created a routine with the peanut ball. I would also like to see you develop a double peanut roller (like a foam roller). I love the shape and the routines are fun and energizing!!! I have used it to facilitate core stability, shoulder alignment, hip release and thoracic spine flexibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by karebear81184 Great for any health level
In my family, we all work desk jobs and we're not really "sports" types so working out is not a main lifestyle focus. My mom, my brother, and I have all experienced chronic back pain at times. At 60, 28, and 23, I know we can all benefit from strong core and back muscles to help maintain our posture and support, ease tension, and prevent strain. I picked up three of these little kits for Christmas (yes, one for myself... freedom from back pain=Merry Christmas to me). Here's what I like:
-Commitment is not overwhelming. You have to find space in your home for this little peanut ball, and literally ten minutes a day to go through a workout. Just lay down a towel if you don't have carpet, and do the exercises in your pajamas.
-Variety! There are two ten-minute workouts included on the DVD plus one more that you can get online. Each video also has a variety of exercises--they pack a lot into ten minutes so you don't have a chance to feel bored, and you can learn a range of exercises and techniques to eventually build your own routine, choosing the moves that work best for you.
-It's great for you. A strong and flexible core and back are a great foundation for all activities, or an attainable goal for previously inactive people. I've only done each video once but MAN it is a workout! I started off thinking "Oh this is easy, only ten minutes, I can do this." Then I moved to "Whoa, I'm feeling the burn and the stretch!" And finally "Wait, ten minutes are over already?"
I would recommend this kit especially for those who are reluctant or nervous about being new to exercising, or existing physical problems. Start small and get great results. Do each video once a week before or after a brisk 20-minute walk, and you've got a pretty decent beginner's cardio+strength exercise plan at an amazing price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by loveca69 Best Purchase ever!!!
I call this wonderful thing my peanut -lol I had back surgery in 2008 & have not been able to do crunches since then. I had given up & one day I received a catalog from Gaiam.... I love anything that has to do with being healthy & there it was "my peanut". I looked & thought about it not sure if it would do the trick. I am more than just happy, after 3-1/2 yrs I am able to comfortably do crunches with no back pain. I have just started but use it every day & feeling great!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kilo Helpful for Back Support when traveling
For years I have done daily exercises for back issues. I use a larger exercise ball for some of the activities. When I am traveling whether visiting family or for work rather than foregoing some of the exercises this little peanut does the trick. Convenient for traveling, I can deflate and bring the pump with me or just put in the bag. It takes up very little space. I sometimes use it for back support on long drives to prevent me from slouching. For something so small, it is quite sturdy to support the weight that placed on it. I like it and would recommend it to others for back and core exercises.

by happietins I look forward to trying it out!
I just purchased this peanut ball yesterday but sadly I cannot get it to inflate at all and I have been trying for over an hour!! I appreciate the pump but it's like a plastic toy it will not work! How can I get it to inflate? any advice? I really want to try it out but don't want to have to go out and purchase a pump since i have never had one. Also is it missing a plug? the ball came with the pump which came with a metal needle that has threads to screw in but no plug, am I missing the plug?
