Welcome to Real Goods!
Back when we started Real Goods nearly 30 years ago in 1978 and sold the world's first photovoltaic solar panel at retail, we never dreamed that solar would one day become mainstream, with the promise of millions of rooftops generating their own sustainable, clean, solar energy all over the world. That day has arrived and we're heartened to have solarized over 60,000 homes over the years, making a small contribution toward mitigating global warming and providing energy efficient independence from fossil fuels for an age where oil is becoming increasingly expensive and scarce.

Since the early days we've developed and provided green products for what we call "Solar Living." It's a concept that encompasses 'sustainability,' 'regeneration,' 'green,' 'earth friendly,' and eco products' and all things environmental and energy smart. We see Solar Living as the complete lifestyle from energy efficient lighting and water purification all the way to living completely off the utility grid with solar energy in a strawbale home. All energy: whether it be solar, wind, water, biomass, or hydrogen ultimately derives from the sun. I invite you to peruse our site and jump right into Solar Living and become part of the energy solution.

Welcome to our 30-year journey in Solar Living and I hope you enjoy learning all about how to make the world and your own life more fulfilling, passionate, and sustainable.
