There is a strange noise like a pressure build up and then a loud flubbing  sound (for lack of better words)  whenever I turn on the shower,
Alternately I tried it  at another friends house and it made the same sound,
Love this product just cant figure out how to make it stop.

Answer:
There should not be any pressure build up sound when using this item. I would recommend removing the shower head and checking the inside for any mineral build up. You may also try replacing the filter! If this does not help please contact Customer Care and we are happy to further assist! 800-482-3747

Answer:
The filter is designed to remove the following:
•Free Chlorine (Cl-)
•Combined Chlorine (Sodium Hypochlorite)
•Hydrogen Sulfide (rotten egg smell)
•Iron oxide (rust water)
•Dirt, sediment
•Odors
•Plus, its pH balanced

No specific numbers about the levels of chlorine removed were shared but the filter should ensure that your shower is chlorine-free ( trace amounts possible)
