Sharp PV modules for all U.S. sales are produced at their Tennessee plant, which went into production in 2003. The larger 180- and 208-Watt modules have watertight MC output cables for quick series connections, making these modules a good choice for grid-tie systems.
Using a weather-tight J-box for wiring, these high-efficiency polycrystalline modules are a great choice for grid-tie and battery-based systems. Featuring over 14% cell efficiency, which keeps the footprint smaller and the wattage higher, these modules also have an anti-reflective coating to increase light absorption, a textured cell surface to reduce reflection, terminal strips for easy electrical connections, and built-in bypass diodes. Construction is conventional with tempered glass, EVA encapsulation and full aluminum frames. Uses the standard 36 cells in series, so these will intermix with any other 36-cell modules.
These are polycrystalline modules with black anodized frames for lower visibility. All Sharp modules feature stout frames; tempered, low-reflection glass covers; and built-in bypass diodes. 25-year mfg. warranties. UL listed. USA.
