Shiitake Kit is composed of a unique blend of sterilized, enriched sawdust colonized with a select Chinese strain of shiitake esteemed for its health-stimulating properties and meaty taste. “It satisfies a vegetarian’s secret urge for meat,” Stamets says. Requires 50°F to 80°F temperatures. Shiitake mushrooms can be harvested at 2 week intervals for up to 16 weeks.
Pearl Oyster Mushrooms will grow within two weeks of arrival and produces an abundant crop of mild, nutty mushrooms that make an exquisite addition to herb and seafood dishes. Requires 55°F to 75°F temperatures.
After use, try inoculating your garden compost pile with this kit. Often gardeners can enjoy continued harvests of Oyster Mushrooms outdoors in the following months. Or, add the kit to your compost pile.
