In Cambodia, women are often held responsible for their families’ survival. However, with limited access to education, these women have few opportunities to support themselves and their families and are often vulnerable to exploitation. Nyemo Cambodia works to provide these women with access to safe living conditions; bring them social, medical and vocational support; and help them develop a wide range of skills that allow them to earn a livable wage. Through Nyemo, these women create hand-woven silks and traditional Khmer embroidered accessories, unique silk bedding and other handmade works of art.
