Rated 4 out of 5 by 44 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Doesn't work for short people I had high hopes for this chair, given the adjustable legs and the 55 cm ball. But once I assembled it, I found that my legs didn't touch the ground when i sat all the way back and were at the wrong angle when I moved forward. For reference, I'm 5'1" tall. Fortunately was able to sell it at a loss to a taller friend. June 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable and A Strength Builder After a week using this chair, I could feel a definite stretch in my back and stomach as a result of "balancing" my weight properly over my hips and keeping my back straight. A great idea fairly priced. June 24, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by kind of bummed I bought this chair because it had adjustable legs and an adjustable back rest..While the chair is fun there is no back support. I'm not sure what the point of the adjustable back rest is when it comes nowhere near my back. June 11, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by I really like this chair. I really like this chair but it seems to have a slow leak. I have had to air it up several times now. I am still giving the chair a chance and if we can figure it out other people in my office want to get one. June 11, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by My new office chair! I really think this is making my posture better so I really love that!  It's great that it's adjustable as well as my desk sits a little higher.  The reason I didn't rate it a 5 is because the locks on the wheels are right in the way. I keep it unlocked so I can roll all the time and I keep accidentally locking the front two wheels with my feet! Super annoying so I duct taped them in the unlock position with some leopard print duct tape. Not ideal but it works for now.  Also note that the ball covers DO NOT work with this chair as it makes the ball too slippery and it slides too far down in the chair and won't stay in place.  Overall I like this chair a lot though and it took about a week or two to get used to it. I was a little sore at first from sitting on it but now, a couple weeks later, it's perfectly fine. Love that I can "dance" to my music while working as well. I assume that's extra exercise too. :)  So I would recommend this chair for anyone that sits at a desk all day, without the cover! June 5, 2015

At this time we do not have different colors planned for the custom fit chair, but that is a great suggestion! We will be sure to bring this to the attention of our product team.

Although we do not have an online manual available, it does include a desktop guide and DVD. The chair includes a pump and the ball needs to be inflated to 55cm. If you have any other questions we are happy to help at customerservice@gaiam.com!

I've never used a ball chair before but am excited to start!  I have lower back pain from split abs due to childbirth.  I do pilates to reconstruct my core and back and would like to keep that health going while I sit at my desk.  Please let me know if you can suggest which of your ball chair better serves lower back and core strength.  Thank you!

Answer:
Great question! As far as functionality and feel of the chair, the Custom fit and the Classic will perform the same. Both are suited for heights 5'-5'11', will engage the core, and help prevent back pain. The only difference is the Custom Fit Balance Ball Chair has adjustable legs so you can change the height of your chair! Measurements are listed below for the height of the chair.

At the lowest setting:
Floor to base = 8"
Floor to top of ball = 23"

At the highest setting:
Floor to base = 11"
Floor to top of ball = 27"

I have a custom fit balance ball chair but it is too low to use at my office desk.  Is there a kit that extends the legs?
