Rated 5 out of 5 by A Good Workout I am pretty new to kickboxing. I like this DVD because the instructor, Patricia Morenro, gives great cueing and encouragement throughout the entire video. You would probably not get a lot out of this DVD if you have been kickboxing for awhile. This is a great workout for a day when you have a little more energy and want that feel good exercise buzz when you're finished. April 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lots of Fun I bought this to take with me on vacation. I take kickboxing classes and wanted to continue my workout while I was away. I have to say that I enjoyed it alot. When taking classes you have to pick up on things rather quickly. This was nice to be able to slow it down and replay it until I had it right. It really helped me to improve my form. I have many workout video's and this is still my "go to" video. I will say one thing for kickboxing, whether it's in real life or a get out what you put in. It rely's not only on muscle group movement but also core. Heart rate was never an issue for me! January 2, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fantastic Intro Workout! Perfect for Joint Rehab!! I had knee surgery (torn ACL and meniscus) a couple of years ago and I'm about 90% back to form. In addition, to my regular outdoor hiking and yoga, my orthopedic surgeon told me to try to find some low-impact workouts that incorporate dynamic moves for all of my joints. I've found that Patricia's kickboxing DVDs are perfect!! The previous posts are pretty spot on. If you're advanced this isn't the workout for you. The pace is average which was helpful for me to learn the moves and develop a great sense of stability without feeling like I was falling behind. I've been rotating the 30 min. and 50 minute workouts (30 min. in the morning followed by yoga and 50 min. in the evening). My knee feels so much better and my flexibility in the knee that surgery is already much improved!! I'm definitely planning to buy more of her DVDs. She's a fun and fantastic instructor. Rated 1 out of 5 by Mostly Punching; Very Little Kicking I got this video for an intense cardio kickboxing workout but my heartrate never really got over about 100; which I measured with a heartrate moniter. There is a lot of punching and emphasis on the form of different types of punches (very long-winded descriptions of the punching form). I don't think anybody bought this video to get prepared for the boxing ring! There is limited kicking or cardio work. The scenery was beautiful and the instructor is in great shape, but this video was a waste of money because I got hardly any cardio or sculpting benefits from this video. January 28, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cardio Burn KickBox Starts very slow, but ends Great. I have trouble following steps, but this is a very gradual increase with lots of repeats till the end and it all comes together. I just wish the finale when all the moves are in play it lasted longer. November 4, 2009
