The booklet included in the box is a joke. No where in any of the brochure does it say which end to put where and the pictures are all useless. The glossy photos do not show which end is facing towards either the neck or the hips.
I do not understand how a product could be sent out without a proper manual or directions.
We have played around with positioning it and found that it provides a bit of relief but we would have appreciated a more informative manual.
Seriously Gaiam this is just poor planning.
My partner who is a certified fitness trainer was just as perplexed.

I am still getting used to positioning this product to be most effective, but it is relaxing and helps the tension in my back and shoulders.

I purchased this the Back Wave to improve my posture and east back pain. It has been easy to use and I am very satisfied.

I purchased the back wave II for my daughter after our acupuncturist recommended heart openers for her. She uses it regularly, finds it helpful, and much easier, and therefore more effective, than building a heart bench with blocks. My husband has begun using it, too, though he needs to begin with shorter stretches of time as he tighter and just beginning to open up. all feel better after using, including me. I would definitely recommend to others.

I bought this for my mother for Christmas. She has suffered for years with low back problems. However, after receiving the gift and opening up the box, I was the first one to jump at the chance to try this out. After having stood at the sink washing dishes that could not go into the dishwasher my lower back needed it. This was wonderful. I felt the release of tension immediately. Needless to say, she had to ban me from her present for fear I might try to take it home with me.
