Rated 4 out of 5 by So simple - but it WORKS I love the  countertop bag dryer.  We  recycle all of our plastic bags that we use to store food, and it is great to have a place to dry them instead of  having  them draped all over everything in the kitchen. December 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by So handy! Drying plastic bags is so easy with this dryer. As others have commented, this makes a fab gift and several folks who saw this on our counter purchased their own. October 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by kitchen staple I can't imagine my kitchen without this baggie dryer now. It is so useful and elegant, and I always receive compliments on it. Also makes an awesome gift. September 20, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great idea I have had this item for several years and have been very satisfied except for one thing. The wooden base looks like it's rotting from all the water it's been exposed to, and it discolors my counter top. I have noticed this for quite a while and have been hoping that Gaiam would offer a metal one. Other than that, it's a been very useful and I have recommended it to friends. May 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great gift! I bought this for my mom for her birthday based on a recommendation from a colleague. She loves it! It's really great for people who are environmentally conscious and it works for other items such as dish-washing gloves. What a great item to have! August 30, 2011

I notice that this bag dryer has an "eye" on the middle post. It would be really convenient to have it off the counter.

Answer:
absolutely. The base comes off and while you have to hang it with a bit of distance to easily allow bag placing it works great. Plus if you put it in a window it acts like a pinwheel all loaded up!

Answer:
We do not include hardware to hang it from the ceiling but I don't see why you couldn't hang this from the ceiling or the bottom of a cupboard to save some counter space. All you would need is one of those little eyelets that have a threaded post.

I am replacing an older one that you closed by folding the arms and sliding the ring down a bit.

Answer:
Yes, the dryer folds straight up. The whole thing is about 1 1/2 " in diameter when closed in a drawer.

Answer:
The base of the dryer is 3". Very stable and the dryer itself on the base(which is removable) stands 14 1/4 inches tall. A very subtantial product.
