I bought this ring in February to help with physical therapy at home. Yesterday it broke. Glad I didn't get hurt. Disappointed that it broke, and according to the website's customer service section, I am going to have to go back to the Borders bookstore I bought it (2 hours away from home) for a return. I was very happy to have found a pilates ring retail, but now? UGH!

Rated 2 out of 5 by louiseb not enough resistance
I bought the ring knowing it was different from the one used in the video , but I found the resistance to be too easy. It was a really poorly made ring and I would have paid more for a sturder one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by my2cents dvd great, ring only good
The DVD is a nice workout and good starting point for a personal practice, but the ring leaves a bit to be desired--the catalog photo makes it look like the ring cover is solid with the pads on top of the green covering, but it is cut around the pads. It's fine, just seems a bit--let's say, cost-cutting.

by greentea My toning ring is bent!
The video is itself is a nice way to wind down from the day or as a warm up to another excerise.
I can feel resistance from the ring, however its design is flimsy. I have used it on and off for about two months and it cracked during my last workout and is now bent.
I have been happy with all of my other gaiam purchaases with this exception.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MikeC Great video, cheap ring
As always I liked the video because of the great instruction of Ana Caban. Her pace is always perfect and she tells you when to breath. I think most instructors forget the verbal instruction not realizing that when excersizing you can't always keep your eyes on the video. Problem is that the ring in the video is different/better than the cheesey one you receive for 19.99. I guess there is a more expensive version, but did not see it on the site. If There is it was not differentiated in any way.
