Rated 1 out of 5 by Joyce48 Easily pulled, developing holes
Not the level of quality I expect from Gaiam. I ordered one set of towels on sale, liked them a lot and ordered three more sets. But soon regretted it. The loops of the towels easily pull, and now they look awful. Furthermore, after only 2 washings one of the bath towels has developed a hole. Really shoddy workmanship. I see from recent reviews others have had similar problems. Very much overpriced for quality. Will never order these again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by sallyb falling apart after first wash
The towels are a generous size, and very absorbant, unfortunately they shed and pill a lot. Just took them out of the 2nd washing and not happy. Too pricey for what you get.

Rated 2 out of 5 by melissa1956 excessive lint and easily pulled threads
I ordered sea and seaweed. So far the sea seem fine but the seaweed left so much lint in the washer I had to take handfuls out and then the dryer lint was full of green fuzz and the other towels I washed with them all had green pills all over them. It took me forever to pick the green lint off the other towels I washed. There were also a number of picks where some of the little hoops were pulled and loose threads in the seams. I returned the seaweed and just hope it doesn't happen with the sea.

Rated 3 out of 5 by al3sha Towels snag and thread very easily
At first blush these are really great towels. They do in fact pick up a lot of moisture, they are fluffy, and pretty. However, the fluffy-moisture locking feature of the towel is due in part to the thread that comes out of the body of the weave, and those threads are hoops. In most towels those threads are cut so they are single strands. <wish I could draw you a picture> Because these towels have hooped-fluffiness, each little hoop has the potential to snag on something and get pulled out, creating a loose thread dangling from your towel, which you pull out and start making bald spots, and then get sad because you just paid a good amount of money for that yummy-fragile towel. They snag in the wash, on your clothes and on body jewelry. I want to love these towels. They are so awesome, until they are not; which sadly didn't take long. Note: I purchased 5 of them, this is not an isolated concern of just the purples or just the greens. For me, it started with the orange. <sadface>
