Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is very comfortable. Comfortable, but I wish they were less expensive. Also, this style is very soft. I wish I had ordered firmer. May 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great pillows! These pillows are wonderful. I love that it is made of organic clean down. I couldn't decide whether to get the standard fill or the firm version, I went ahead with the standard but if I were to do it again I might try the firm. The standard was a touch flat for me. Still an excellent product! April 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Clouds I needed to replace my guest room pillows since it became embarrassing if guests would pull off the cases after their visit. I wasn't sure which pillow to get so I purchased both the firm and soft clean down. I also purchased the cotton pillows thinking that I would return the ones I didn't like/need. I love all of these pillows. I not only replaced my guest pillows but also added to my own bed. I found that the choices were nice to have. The clean down pillows are so soft that I didn't think it could hold its shape all night, but it does. Cloud like yet firm is how I would describe them. They have improved my sleep so well that I jump at a chance to recommend to anyone who has a hard time finding the right down pillows. March 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by sleep tight! i bought this pillow for my husband in a medium. he would have liked the firm better but this pillow is perfect for me. i am a side sleeper and am sleeping comfortably with it. they are expensive but can you put a price on comfort for the bed? thanks Gaiam! Rated 5 out of 5 by I wanted a firm pillow A firm pillow is easy to find. A firm down pillow that is still pliable isn't so easy to find. At first my new Gaiam pillow was so firm that I thought I wouldn't like it, but after a couple of weeks it loosened up and is now just right. I am very happy with my purchase. March 21, 2011

Answer:
Gaiam is committed to using only ethically harvested down, meaning harvested after the duck or goose has been killed. Our down comes from China, where it is a natural byproduct of China’s domestic duck and goose meat market. The entire animal is used in the process – meat, bones, down and feathers.

While live plucking is a dwindling practice, it does still take place in Hungry and other European countries. Live plucking involves inverting the duck or goose and ripping the down feathers from the animal’s breast. This down grows back over time, and the process is repeated numerous times until the animal is slaughtered for meat.

No down sold by Gaiam comes from live plucked geese or ducks. We remain committed to using only down that is a natural byproduct of China’s domestic meat market, harvested only after the animal has died.

Are the feathers used in this pillow plucked post mortem (i.e. no live plucking)?  Also, were the geese treated humanely (i.e. free range) before being processed? Thanks.

I purchased this pillow last year and since some stains happened on the pillow I took it to my dry cleaner to have it cleaned.  However after that the feathers were all bunched up and the pillow was no longer smooth.  Is there a way to get around this in the future?

Answer:
We do recommend that these pillows be dry cleaned. If the dry cleaner ended up bunching the pillow, we would recommend spot cleaning your Organic Clean Down pillow next time.

Your prior reply makes no sense "100% goose down feathers".

Please let me know if this is 100% goose down with no goose feathers.
