Rated 5 out of 5 by Ahhhh......! I have had upper back and neck problems for years from sitting at a desk with forward-leaning posture. So, I nearly melted when I saw this pillow, because I could feel my over-stretched back muscles already falling into a relaxed state. The pillow has proved to be as helpful as I had hoped. I look forward to five or ten minutes on it when my neck is especially bothersome. It helps to ease tight muscles in a passive, calming way. BE SURE to follow directions on it and start with just a few minutes at a time and work up to longer periods. Its effects are subtle yet profound. If you overdo it in the beginning, you will be very sore! October 7, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Effective Results are amazing however your forced to put time aside in order to properly relax. June 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very helpful for relieving tension in neck muscles, has become a must do before bed! February 25, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Helps Me! I received this as a gift for Christmas. I suffer from chronic migraine and a spinal malformation, and this product helps relax my neck, which in turn helps my headaches!! I was sad to learn that I couldn't sleep on it though. January 5, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Too Narrow / Overpriced Styrofoam Very poor quality, was shocked when I opened the box to reveal a lightweight piece of styrofoam wrapped in cloth. Narrow enough to span the back of my preschooler. I truly do not see the point of this product. September 30, 2011

Answer:
This product is made for an average adult's back. Thus, I don't think it would help a 7-year-old as I don't believe it would fit his/her back. It barely fits mine, and I'm 5'2" :)

Answer:
Yes and no. If you have really targeted pain I would go with the specific tool to target that area. This will have a similar effect to those products if your just looking to relax but if your trying to pain relief I would go with one of the other two.

It says this is a CFC-free foam pillow, but is it the same as the tempur-pedic beds?

Answer:
I have an acute sense of smell and I did NOT notice any odor. It is not the same as tempurpedic material. I don't think it's even a knock-off of the memory foam but it is soft yet supportive.

You may notice a slight odor when it is initially removed from its packaging. It is not the same type of foam as tempur-pedic beds.

Answer:
The instructions warn against sleeping on it and I can see why. One's neck should not be in such an extended position for long period of time. It's great for counter-acting bad posture, as long as you only use it for less than 30 minutes. I would definitely NOT sleep on it.

Answer:
You could try, but if you look at the picture you'll see that your head hangs down a bit to allow your muscles to relax. That might get uncomfortable after a while, and it may not be great for the bloodflow to your head.

You do not want to fall asleep using the Natural Spine Cushion. It's designed to be used for a few to 20 minutes at a time. And fortunately, that's all the time it takes to produce results.

Overall, I think Shoulders Back is a better choice for posture issues. You can only lie on the cushion for a finite amount of time each day, whereas you can wear Shoulders Back all day and night. And i think Shoulders Back is definitely better at helping your posture.

If your experiencing more pain or discomfort in your lower back I would purchase the Spine Cushion. If your back pain is coming from between your shoulders or upper back I would purchase the Shoulder Back.
