Rated 5 out of 5 by This Micro-Massage Short are great, I use it , but Gaiam  needs to sale larger sizes.  The XL is not a fit for a person with curve shape or better said with big behind. Please try to have larger size.  ( 1X, 2XX. etc. etc. ) some sisters need to take the advantage of this product. November 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by for lymphedema this is the first product i used for lymphedema in my legs. I've been using it for over a year now and think my cellulite is better? but not positive. However it has really helped my legs. I wear hippster underware under them so i can wear them a a few days before i wash them. It also slims and tighten everything nicely! December 23, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good buy The price is a little expensive but its worth the $. The shorts fit well and like it says on the product, it remains fresh even after several wears. It is easy to wash and reuse. I've had no problems wearing it under my clothes, does not feel uncomfortable although it does take a few days to adjust to it. Not sure about the anti-cellulite part but it gives a good shape and makes me look toner. I felt this was more like a body shape-er but more flexible. bottom line, fits well, flexible- can fit different shapes, breathable, makes me look toned - good buy November 14, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by They work! Had them over a week and my thighs are firmer. Bought a pair for my mother and she loves them! November 12, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love Them I have lymphedema in the lower abdomen which results in a lot of swelling. I ordered these shorts to see if they would help and they do. The fact that they are so comfortable you don't know you are wearing them is a bonus. November 2, 2011

I am about 5'7  and weigh  around 118. Also, I am quite long waisted. Would a ML be right for me or would another size fit better? Thanks so much :)

Answer:
It is an extra, tight garment, so it could make you warmer/sweaty. However, i walk over 3/4 of a mile from my L stop to my work building during hot chicago summers and it never has left a sweat stain no matter what material i'm wearing.

No - not at all. The material they are made from seems to be breathable. I wear when walking my 3-4 miles with no problems.

They aren't going to make you sweaty unless the climate temperature is hot (it would be similar to wearing tights). However you you wear these during a work out you might have an increase in visible sweat.

Do they work if they're stretched so that they don't leave wavy ridges in the skin, or should they be allowed to bunch up a little (without doubling the fabric) so that the wavy ridges DO indent the skin a little?

I think you should be able to see the indentations when you take them off.

You want to see the little indents in your skin after. That insures those little ridges are doing their job.

Not sure, I'm 5'7", 133 lbs and got the large. They were pretty tight to me, but they do stretch a little after that first wear, so maybe you'd be okay.

You could certainly give it a try however they might be uncomfortably tight. They are a really snug fit to begin with even if you do fall perfectly into a certain size.
