Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful Smell I wash this towel every time I do laundry, but I cannot get rid of the chemical smell. It's impossible to find a way around it. I can't use it in practice, because it gives me a brutal headache. I'd rather make my mat a slip n slide! February 25, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Smells at first In order to get rid of the "new rubber" odor, I washed this and hung it to dry in my spare room with a fan. It took a couple of days, but the offending odor is gone. It grips wonderfully to my mat and helps to keep me from sliding around as I am typically prone to do. November 18, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Defective Product The previous reviewer is entirely correct. I purchased this towel hoping I would have a different experience, but unfortunately this product is defective. November 3, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible Smell I do not recommend this product.  When I opened the box there was an overwhelming chemical smell like paint mixed with melted plastic.  I had to put the towel in the garage because I couldn't stand it in the house.  I washed and dried it the towel three times the following day and still could not get rid of the smell!
