Rated 1 out of 5 by Do not buy - not worth money Had it less than a week, bought it for extra thickness and because I do hot yoga. The mat is fraying at the edges, the dye comes off on my hands, feet and clothes, can not stop it from curling but the worse thing is that when it gets wet with sweat it becomes super slick and downright dangerous if you are doing any type of inversions or flow work. I am returning and am frustrated I have to pay return shipping. It is heavy and will cost a lot and in my opinion this product is completely defective. December 18, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Oil slick I wanted this size, thickness, quality, and color, but after 3 series of washing by hand with soap, a vinegar rinse, and a rinse, the mat is still exuding an oily, petroleum-smelling substance I can feel on my hands and makes the mat unusable. Hopes springs eternal and I will keep washing, but no yoga mat should be this horribly slick. December 8, 2012

Answer:
Id say they both slip - one more so than the other, neither absorbs sweat it just pools  on top and makes the surface slick. I had to flip my mat mid session to complete my class because the first side was so slippery.
