Just like microwaves, blow dryers give off radiation – aimed straight at your head day after day! The Eco Hair Dryer is your cutting-edge, earth- and health-friendly alternative. The ceramic heating element uses half the energy of a traditional blow dryer with coil heating. It emits significantly less electromagnetic radiation (an output of only 4.1mG, compared to over 200mG for a conventional dryer). Plus, it actually dries faster and produces negative ions that help to control frizz. With cool-shot release button and 11' professional cord. Operates on 1100 watts (comparable to 1800 watts) with multiple heat and speed settings and two concentrator nozzles. China.

Print"Over 30 years in the business, I've used every dryer out there. If you want a top of the line blow dryer that also saves electricity, use BARBAR. There's nothing like it on the market."
-Giuseppe Franco, owner of Giuseppe Franco Salon in Beverly Hills, CA.

"As soon as BARBAR came out with this new eco-friendly dryer that's radiation free, I had to have it. And I love the way it works!" "
-Jason Schneidman, Chris McMillan Salon, Beverly Hills, CA

"I use many blow dryers, but keep finding myself back to using the BARBAR Eco 8000. It's one of the most powerful dryers I've ever used." "
-Chase Kusero, Chris McMillan Salon, Beverly Hills, CA

"The best thing about the Eco 8000 is there's no radiation. The difference between this dryer and others is this is not all coils and wires. It's ceramic, which keeps out the radiation. This is the best blow dryer I'm using right now. "
-Kristoff Ball, Warren Tricomi Salon, Beverly Hills, CA

"Barbar's eco-friendly blow dryer is amazing! It gets the job done. Not only am I taking care of my clients hair, I'm finally concerned about the environment."

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet. Powerful. Quick dry and shiny hair! I have pretty thick curly/wavy hair that I'm letting grow long.  I asked for this dryer as a Christmas gift (2013) and it's fast becoming a favorite I received!  It's a lot heavier than my previous dryer (consumer model, drug store purchase), so that takes some getting used to when drying and styling.  It's surprisingly quieter or less whiny than my previous dryer.  Seriously like the easy-to-use heat/air flow switches.  Love the low EMF ceramic heat.  LOVE the long cord. Rated 5 out of 5 by This is the best hair dryer I have purchased I have purchased this hair dryer after a lot of research for an low radiation hair dryer that would be less damaging to my hair, there were not that many reviews posted at the time but each review said great things about the product so I decided to take a chance.  I was very pleased.   Other than the hair dryer is slightly on the heavier side (as mentioned in a couple of the reviews which was my only concern),  it is perfect.  It's quiet, fast drying (set both switches to high) and I can notice that my hair quality has improved in the last few months since I switched to this hair dryer.  So even I would love for it to be a little lighter as personal preference I would still give it a 5 as it did everything it said it will do.  I have recently purchased another one as a gift for a girl friend and she loves it too.  July 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by So far, so good! I am interested in reducing EMFs in my home, and after researching hair dryers online, this is the only one I found that seems to truly create less EMFs (according to a YouTube video). The Barbar doesn't seem to blow as much air as my old hair dryer or become as hot in the beginning, but it heats up and as far as I can tell, does as good a job as my old dryer. I am hoping that it will not dry my hair out and cause as many split ends, but that might take a while to determine. June 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great quality I bought this hair dryer primarily because of its low EMF, but have been very satisfied with its drying power (even my long hair dries rapidly) and its endurance (three family members have used this dryer at least 12 times a week for a year). Recently, it has started producing an odd smell reminiscent of short-circuited electronics, so although it's still working fine, I've decided to buy a new one, just to be on the safe side. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Purchase I've Made In A Long Time! I absolutely LOVE this hair dryer. I was a little skeptical at first but my hair dries faster even though the air the hair dyer blows out doesn't feel quite as hot as regular hair dryers. My hair is also so shiny, more than it has even been. I feel like I have just walked out of a salon every day! I definitely recommend!! August 31, 2012

1) I was wondering what type of plastic or plastics is used on the internal and external components? For example PVC, PET, etc.
2) Are there any phthalates in this product?
3) Is there any fire retardant in the internal part of this product? (i.e. the inside cavity which will have the heat going threw it + heating coil)
4) What material is the fan at the back of the blow dryer made of?
Thanks in Advance :)

Answer:
It's on the heavy side: it's never hurt my arm or anything, but it's definitely heavier than some of the cheapo Conair or CVS house brands.

Answer:
The Eco Dryer is relatively loud (e.g., it's louder than the super-quiet German and Swiss hair dryers that I had in Europe), but it is quieter than the cheap, loud, "super power" hairdryers that you'll hear in the hair salons here. For me, the fact that it's low-EMF trumped every other factor, but you may decide otherwise.

Answer:
It is relatively quiet. I love this feature about it. Other hair dryers have a shrill sound to the motor, and I can't wait to turn it off. The Eco Hair Dryer is much easier on the ears.

Answer:
It is slightly less noisy than a regular hair dryer. I wont use mine if people are sleeping in the room next me because they would be likely to hear it. I however have walls that are slightly on the thin side.
