Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst waste your money. I've been using this mat for a week or so and it is VERY slippery. My hands and feet are always sliding away! It's very frustrating when you're trying to do my best during my yoga practice and the mat is impeding my progress. I was thinking of getting one of those non-slip towels but I don't think I will since I'm already regretting this purchase so much. April 25, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great purchase I've enjoyed my recent purchase of the damask print yoga mat, but I have to admit that I only gave it four stars because, while paired with the bag, it's several shades darker than the canvas bag. It's still pretty in it's own right, but doesn't "match" at all. Take note of the darker color shown on the photos, and know that it isn't the same color as the canvas mat bag. In general, the mat is very comfortable to practice with. December 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Mat Love the design, love the matching carry bag and water bottle. The mat is slightly sticky and with the rubber dot gloves you will stick like glue! It does have an odd smell when it first comes out of the bag but it goes away within a day or two of being unwrapped. January 3, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love a yoga mat I bought a yoga mat with a bag and a water bottle. I love it!! The bag has three pockets. It is so useful. I got these so fast! You should have these! June 18, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Bag I bought bag to go with a different mat, and it fits it perfectly. It is pretty large with lots of room and love the pockets on the sides. Compliments my mat perfectly. May 19, 2010

Answer:
It depends on which eco mat you are looking at. Some are made with TPE or PVC that is 6P free. This mat is made of PVC and is an older design made before we came out with the 6P free formula.

I've never done outdoor yoga, but I have a "playaway" with yoga instruction on it...I'm itching to take it outside and strike a few poses out in the open spaces near my home. Can I use this mat outside, and if so, do I need to have anything under it to protect it? Can it be used in grass? Or is it better to use it on a hard flat surface?

Answer:
This mat can be used outside on any surface. Just make sure that the space is free of rocks or pebbles that are sharp and might poke through the mat. If it get dirty you can simply spray it with a hose and a little soap if needed. Allow to air dry.
