Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Neat customizable chair It took me about 15 minutes to put this thing together. The majority of the time was spent pumping up the ball and looking for a rubber mallet. The mallet was useful in getting the back bar all the way down before securing it with the hardware provided since it was a tight fit. I'm 5' exactly, and I easily adjusted the wheels so that my feet actually touched the ground. Unlike the previous reviewer, I don't find it troublesome that my back doesn't rest against the support bar during normal sitting; perhaps that's only because I didn't expect it to in the first place. The desktop guide is very useful for figuring out precisely how/where to sit on the ball. This is my first experience with any of these balance balls, and I was grateful that the info was right near the front. It also states that the support bar (backrest) is for stability during exercises ONLY. There are some great stretches in the guide as well. I haven't used the workout DVD yet, but I'm very pleased overall with my purchase! April 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by The site says it fits 5' petite this is not true. The product was fine. The description that it will sit low enough for 5' 1" is not true. My feet could not touch the ground on the lowest setting. Returned the chair today now I am out over 40.00 in shipping fees. I am hoping the company will reimburse me the shipping fees The site says it fits 5' this is not true. November 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wanted a Balance Chair for a long time Rarely does the Balance Ball Chair go on sale, but when it did, I ordered one.  I  really like it and  am glad I ordered the one with adjustable legs and rollers.    It works very well. October 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by helps promote good posture I really like my new chair, I have had it for one month now and while I don't necessarily feel my core get's a workout, the chair is a constant reminder to sit up straight and engage my core.  The downside is that the way the 'brakes' are positioned on the 5 legs, through the cours of the day my feet must hit them and at some point my chair resists movement at which point I need to ensure all brake levers are flipped to the 'up position'.   October 13, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by disappointed I thought I was getting a desk chair.  I am 5'7" and it is way too low for any normal adult sized desk.  The ball often falls through to the floor when sitting down, even when it is fully inflated.  Either the ball needs to be bigger, or the ring smaller.  It would also be good it the legs were more adjustable in the higher direction. When I let go of the idea of using it at a desk and put it out on the patio, it is quite fun to sit on.  Outside in the sun, the ball didn't fall through--until the weather cooled down.  All in all I am disappointed. Answer:
Unfortunately at this time we do not have balance ball chairs suited for heights over 5'11". We are still researching ways to provide proper ergonomic positioning for our taller customers. We do have our balance disc available (item #05-61439) which will provide many of the same benefits of our ball chair and can be used with your existing office chair!

I have 32 inches between my immovable desk and the wall behind me. Very small space. Will this chair fit and have enough space to maneuver?

Can you please tell me which chair- the custom or classic - you recommend for petite (5'2") users?  I am interested in the difference between the back height as well as  height of chair.  Thanks!

Answer:
Great question! For the most accurate sizing, measure the height of your current chair while your legs are at a 90 degree angle. Then compare the measurements to the specifications below. I hope this helps!

Custom Fit Chair
At the lowest setting:
Floor to base = 8"
Floor to top of ball = 23"

At the highest setting:
Floor to base = 11"
Floor to top of ball = 27"

Classic Chair
*Only 1 setting
Floor to base = 9"
Floor to top of ball = 27"
