Rated 1 out of 5 by I wanted to love it It sure doesn't absorb water - but the egg crate shape does do a nice job of collecting it in little pools. I have to dry my feet with a towel before I step off of it so I don't track water everywhere. Kind of defeats the purpose. Its latest trick is to curl up at the corners, perhaps hoping to trip us in the dark sometime. I'm going to go buy a teak mat instead. February 19, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Good idea but needs perfecting We've had these mats  for years in bathrooms with bold color tiles. They're pretty convenient, although they do warp and need  to be carefully dried  so they don't mildew.  Then  we purchased one for a bathroom with a white  and  light gray marble  floor. Even when only slightly damp,  the color of the mat stained the floor and the stain does not come out.   Needless to say we won't be purchasing or recommending these mats anymore -  which is too bad because the concept  is so practical. Rated 1 out of 5 by My experience was not good My experience with the large mat was not positive. The mat did not absorb water; it warped within a few weeks and it grew mold like a slice of bread. I tried disinfecting the mat, leaving it in the hot, Texas sun for a few weeks, and weighting it down with heavy stones to straighten it out. I finally relegated the mat to the garage where it may cushion something in the future. It isn't going back in the bathroom. August 31, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect mat for my small bathroom This has a great feel and absorbency and is just the right size for stepping out of the shower in my small bathroom. We had a slight casualty when a chunk of the mat broke off, but it is otherwise a great way to keep water messes to a minimum. August 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I have been using this mat for over a year. I have a big one for master bath and a small one for guest bath. Before that I've tried several cotton mats. With a cotton mat it gets wet and accumulates dirt and hair, so I have to wash them frequently and soon it becomes a hassle. With this mat I could just vacuum it when vacuum the bathroom floor. And it doesn't seem to get dirty or attracts dirt. It feels nice to stand on it due to the pattern, and my husband loves it since it's like a foot massage. Reading other reviews some people thought it will absorb water. It doesn't! If you are really wet when stepping onto it, water just accumulates. But that doesn't bother me at all. Think about it: if it absorbs water, it has to get dry from inside out to avoid mold. This way water doesn't really get inside and will just vaporize quickly. After 1.5 year of use, the big one does get warped somewhat, and it got a little bit mold underneath. I think it's because I always step onto it really wet, and never shake the water off. I'm buying another one to replace this one and I'll be more careful this time. Even with that, I'm so much more happier with this one than a cotton mat. The price is a bit high, so wait for when there is a sale! August 21, 2012
