Gaiam's Yoga for New Beginners is ideal for those who are brand new to yoga, and have always wanted to try it. 3 - 20 minutes programs can be mastered one at a time, or combined into one complete 60 minute program as you gain confidence and skill

DVD Includes:

BEGIN YOUR YOGA PRACTICE TODAY!
Have you wanted to try yoga but weren’t sure where to begin? Learn correct form and breathing techniques as you move through basic yoga poses and sequences that will help you increase strength, flexibility and overall fitness. Use each program separately, or, as you become more familiar and confident with the poses, connect all three into a challenging 60-minute workout.

CONNECT
Transition from your hectic day to a calm inner focus. This practice begins with the concept of linking breath to movement as Chrissy introduces fundamental yoga poses and mini sequences. (20 minutes)

ENERGIZE
This practice builds on skills gained in the first program and introduces sun salutations and other sequences. As the flow increases, so will the calorie burn! The goal of this program is to energize, detoxify and increase flexibility. (20 minutes)

STRENGTHEN
Build the strength necessary to achieve more challenging poses as Chrissy takes you through shoulder openers, mini inversions and focused core work. You’ll feel strong, confident and ready to face the day. (20 minutes)

Rated 5 out of 5 by A pleasure to work with. I have been using  this DVD for about a month now and really enjoy learning  with Chrissy!!! The light touches of humor make me smile every time. She teach in a clear and understandable way. Not to fast for a 53 year old  ex- military person. I look forward to doing this practice every morning and with severe depression that says a lot. Would recommend this DVD to anyone. March 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for beginners If you are brand new to yoga (as I was), this is the DVD for you! It goes at a nice, slow pace. It's very easy to follow and keep up with. I highly recommend it. April 21, 2014

Answer:
The only thing you'll need is a mat. There are a few exercises where you have to hold on to the mat and lift yourself up. Other than that, no blocks or straps or anything extra is required.

Answer:
While this video does not require any special equipment, blocks and straps can always help deepen your yoga practice. If you are new to yoga you may find a block helpful for stability in certain poses, however it is not necessary for this workout!
