Rated 5 out of 5 by Great filter system The bath ball  is my second bath  filter system, and I just ordered my 3rd bath ball replacement.  There is no comparison to the first bath filter system, which was horrid.  The bath balls last for almost a full year and I use this not only for the bath, but also in the sink when I wash my face or hair.   August 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Can't live without it! I purchased the bath ball filter for my whirlpool bath tub because the water smelled of chlorine and the smell kept me from using it. I first purchased this item about two years ago and have continued to purchase it since. It makes the water lovable again. Another benefit is it keeps the bathtub cleaner longer. Hooray! Who wouldn't like that? June 3, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Also Good for Use at Sink I actually use this product on the faucet in my bathroom. This is because I wash my face morning and evening at the sink. The filter prevents drying of my skin. It also helps my jewelry, which I clean at the sink, by keeping chlorine to a minimum, including when I wash my hands. March 17, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 Why would you want to bathe in chlorinated water? Did you know that you absorb more chlorine when you bathe than you do from your drinking water? If you live like most of us do, in a city with chlorinated water, unless you filter your water, you have no choice. You see, the warm, steamy water of a bath opens up your pores and your body soaks up chlorine like a sponge. I used to love taking long, hot bubble baths at least a couple nights a week. But I couldn't stand the smell of chlorine that came out of the faucet and seemed to stick to my skin. I thought I had to cut out my beloved bath time; but instead I decided to change my bathing habits first. I bought a bath water filter to filter out the chlorine, and now I use natural bath salts instead of bubble bath. Now I can enjoy my baths again! You'll notice the difference in water quality with your first bath, too! January 25, 2010

The two pieces simply pull apart. I thought it would twist off initially until I got it apart and noticed it doesn't have any threads. I find the easiest way to do it is to hook your fingers around the cross bars of the top piece so you have something to grip on to.
