My neighbor turned me onto this product and I love it! I sit at a computer most of the day and my spine slowly compresses thru out the day. The Wave allows me to stretch my back out at the end of the day. Feels so good. Thank you!

I have a lot of pain with misaligned & compressed vertibrae and using the Back Wave gives me relief. I have to use a small pillow under my head and bend my knees a little, but I feel so much better after using it for 15 or 20 minutes a couple of times a week.

I wondered why I bought this shortly after placing the order - it just caught my eye and WOW - whatever was guiding me to make the purchase was on the $$. The first time I tried it I felt an immediate difference in my lower back like my spine was 'breathing.' Unlike other reviewers, I don't have chronic back pain, but do travel and this is fantastic to come home to. Less expensive and more convenient than a chiropractor or masseuse (although, well...it is not quite that good!!) Great purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by proudsailor wave bye bye to back pain
I have always had pretty good posture, but I find that sometimes my back is more reluctant to comply with my posture requests. To whip it into shape, I break out my wave. I then do two or three of the exercises included. The most relaxing (to me) is when I lay on the floor with the wave under my hips and gently rock it. I can feel all the muscles in my thighs, hips and back relax and let go.
Also, I am only 5'1" tall, so most couches and chairs are too deep for me. I just put the wave on the back of the couch or chair, and it gives me the extra inches I need to fit the chair. Not only does this help my feet touch the floor, it also gives my back a bit of a massage because my spine is cradled in the channel.
I thought the wave was pricey, but with Giaim's return policy, I figured I had nothing to lose. If it didn't work or I didn't like it, I could return it. Sorry, Giaim, I'm keeping it. I believe it was worth every penny.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Britt Not for herniated disc therapy/relief...
I purchased the Back Wave II to help alleviate pressure from herniated discs in the thoracic/lumbar area and scoliosis pains. After one light-use of the product I wound up suffering from an acute lumbar strain and spasms, which put me out of work for a week. My orthopedic physician has recommended that I not use the product again and am currently back in physical therapy.
The product is good quality, considering the simple make (basically a curved hump of wood covered in cushioned leather, with spinal indentation). This is certainly a tool for stretching the spine, but I would NOT recommend it for anyone with active spine issues.
I have bought other products from Gaiam and like them, however I will be returning this one.
