Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Core Strengthening It's a challenging workout. Great for wanting to tone and strengthen your core. Also great to mix in with other Pilates workouts to get the powerhouse strong. August 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stretch! Ana is great, I have a few of her DVDs and she is easy to follow. I love taking this DVD on vacation, after a plane ride good movement and stretching is a must!  I love hour long work-outs, they just make me feel better. My chiropractor recommended Pilates to me several years ago and this was the first DVD I bought. It's really help build core strength that my weight training just couldn't do.   March 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by favorite workout I have used this work out for 3 years. Ana Caban is easy to follow. The sequence of the exercises keeps the workout flowing. There are definate challenging positions that flow quickly into another position. The breathing used assists in remaining focussed. It delivers results pretty quickly to the core. You really feel like you have had a work out but relaxed at the same time. May 14, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Would recommend for beginners The level of intensity was not what I was expecting. I have only been doing Pilates since Oct 2011, but I felt nothing after this video. I also have lower lumbar problems, so some of the workouts I could not do comfortably. April 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Next Step in Your Training Ana Caban makes great videos- I also have her Intermediate workout and Abs workout. Hers are the only videos that compare to an actual class when I can't make it. This video is great because she adapts reformer exercises to the mat. Not only will they challenge your core, but they involve coordination as well. I love the beyond basics exercises and the choice to do a full 40 min or quick 20 min workout. I plan on taking this with me when I go on vacation in Jamaica so I can get a quick workout in without spending hours in the gym! I would definitely recommend this video, especially if you already have some pilates background. I eagerly await Ana's next Intermediate to Advanced level workout! June 2, 2010

Answer:
All of the DVDs on Gaiam.com are going to be coded for Region 1 as we do not ship outside of the USA or Canada. Please refer to a UK distributor (Amazon UK etc.) for Gaiam DVDs. Anything sold from a local distributor will either be region free or coded for the areas DVD players.

Ipad version

I own this DVD as well as other GAIAM exercise videos. I would like to take it with me on vacation but would like it on my IPad so I don't have to take along my laptop. Is there any way to get a digital version for the iPad?

Answer:
. At this time the only thing we have available for MP3 players or mobile devices is our content from Gaiam Yoga Club or Gaiam TV. You cannot rip our DVD’s onto a hard drive or into ITunes. The only digital downloads that are available by us at this time are on Amazon under their Instant Video section. If you search Gaiam under that section it will pull up the titles that are available, however this title is not listed.

caption? subtitle?

I need to know if these dvd's have captioning or subtitling for deaf and hard of hearing. (the text on the screen to show what is being spoken). Would be nice if all reviews or descriptions just said "captioned..." "subtitled" or "not captioned" "not subtitled"... that way I don't have to wonder about each one. Thanks.

Answer:
I would say this is slightly harder than the Abs workout. However, it also depends on how you do it, since Pilates is so much about technique! I would recommend using both videos in conjunction because I feel like, while the Abs Workout gets your main muscle groups, this one works some of the often ignored ones, so it allows you to tone up in new ways.

Thank you for your question. The difficulty level is similar, but this workout targets areas in addition to the abs.
